Game Stop: Strategy

  • Challenge: This was a group project from my Masters of Branding program as part of a course led by renowned branding expert Melanie Weisenthal of Deerfield. The challenge was to reposition GameStop, a legacy video game retailer which was losing relevance in a digital-first market.
     

  • Action: Analyzed consumer shifts, cultural trends, and competitive pressures; identified opportunities for community-driven and experiential repositioning.
     

  • Result: Proposed a revitalized brand strategy to transform GameStop into a culturally relevant, future-facing destination.
